New Committee

At the recent AGM The following members were elected to the ARRAS committee.

President - Chris Haymes: Secretary - Eddie Leahy: Treasurer - John Hubbard: Editor - Peter Scanlon: General Committee: - John Manfre, Luke Spickler, and Doug Grant: ex-officio Christina Dicker.

Stars In The Sky

Shelby Singleton, who ran Smash Records in the 60s and later bought the Sun Records label from Sam Phillips, died Wednesday (October 7) in Nashville at the age of 77. Shelby had been suffering from brain cancer.

Rev. John "Bootsie" Wilson, who sang with the Silhouettes from 1961 to 1972 (though not on their only chart hit, "Get A Job") died September 21 at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he was a minister. Rev. Wilson was 69.

Amongst The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame nominees for induction in 2010 were The Chantels and Darlene Love,
