Hey there all you cats and kittens.

Phil Haley & the Comments gave the ACT a great show while they were passing through in November from Sydney to Melbourne. The boys really knew how to get things rockin’, after the long and rather cool winter. It was hot, hot, hot.  Everyone who attended rocked the night away. A fantastic night was had by all at the Queanbeyan Bowling Club singing along to the tunes of Bill Haley. The band did a great rendition of the original songs of Bill Haley but also provided us with a good selection of their own tunes.

A new venue has finally been found for the ACT rock’n’roll club, and next year we will be getting everything happenin’ once again. I’m sure we have all had withdrawal symptoms by not hearing those lovely sounds of the ‘50s from our local DJ Tony Gray. We will all be able to spend time with friends and likeminded people by listening to those great sounds of the ‘50s. I for one can’t wait.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year and I look forward to 2012.
